Goblyn De Lutin is a model, musician, performer, poet and craftsman / designer based out of Meanjin. He is the founder and creator of ‘The Gob Shop’, creating his own brand of unique and bespoke handmade jewellery since September of 2021. Currently releasing his first jewellery drop, Goblyn combines his love of the occult, pantheism, and individual spirituality, as well as his quirky and unique sense of style with gothic and punk inspiration to create unique pieces, meant to empower the wearer. Having started performing in Choir at the young age of 5, touring up and down the North West coast of Tasmania, Goblyn has been doing creative endeavours for 29 years. At the ages of 13 and 14, Goblyn had the opportunity to perform at the Tasmanian Blues and Jazz festival as a professional vocalist. Since then he has done a variety of creative ventures, notably being a live fetish performer from 2015-2017 at Fetish Empire and Brisbane Leather Pride’s "Fetish Friday’s", and the 12 hour fetish rave "Insomnia". In 2017 Goblyn started performing in the Burlesque world with partner in crime Kitty Obsidian in a duo burlesque act as a vocalist "Curves and Claws Burlesque" and "Naked Ostrich Burlesque". Since coming out as gender diverse, and after life changing surgery that made him rapidly lose 90 kilos in 2020, Goblyn made his return to modelling, challenging the traditional gender stereotypes through his modelling and poetry, as well as advocating for disability visibility and representation.  2021 was a big year for Goblyn, after almost 17 years away from performing music live, Goblyn returned to the stage as a guest vocalist for Brisbane act the "Blah Blah Blahs", performing at Bodega Bar and Suzie Wong’s Good Time Bar. In the same year Goblyn also held a wax play workshop for ‘The Source’, started posting poetry and short writing on social media, began fire lessons with Scarlett Tinkerbell and hoop and fan lessons with Abbii Allora. In 2022 Goblyn hit the studio to record guest vocals on local Brisbane outfit After Ford single "Ragged Flag", an anthem of support and solidarity for the Ukrainian people after the invasion by Russia. In April of 2023, Goblyn started his live poetry journey, performing at the Grand Opening Open Mic Night of the Brisbane Poetry Festival and Hootenanny Mini-festival. 2023 also saw Goblyn hold stalls and markets at Mystique Muse’s Menagerie, The Source (End of Year Wooly Mammoth Party) and Hootenanny Mini-festival. Goblyn’s most recent venture saw him creating his first line of jewellery for his brand, as well as releasing prints of his modelling work to purchase for the first time. Goblyn is passionate about encouraging everyone to use art as an expressive medium, and learnt this by allowing himself to make "bad art", (realising that art is subjective and about expression). Goblyn values sustainability and reusability and repurposing and tries to incorporate that into his creations. He has a passion for community and for uniting people, breaking down barriers that keep us separated as communities and people, whether that be through stigma (mental, physical health, gender, sexual orientation, ect.) or through breaking traditional toxic values. This p-assion for community is reflected in his strong values about supporting local artists and uniting creative people as welcoming community.  Currently in the works and soon to be released, Goblyn has a range of candles (candle return and refill concept for sustainability), upcycled creations such as "Shhh! Jars", tea light candle magnets (perfect for polaroids!), up cycled jewellery, and is starting to work on a Vlog/Blog series.   2024 has a lot in store for Goblyn with more modelling shoots scheduled and debuting his solo burlesque performance. Goblyn is also hoping to release his first photo and poetry book this year when he officially launches the Desterilising Death Project.  He's also a bit of a dork that writes in third person to write h8is bio and sound super official. Here's a cookie for making it to the end.
